The President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who is popularly known as Sheikh Khalifa has forgiven more than three thousands prisoners ahead of Ramadan 2019. Ramadan 2019 is scheduled to begin in the middle east from May 6.
According to reports, Sheikh Khalifa has pardoned 3,005 prisoners who were serving various sentences in the UAE. Yes, ahead of the holy month Ramadan this year, Khalifa has ordered the release of more than three thousands prisoners. According to reports, the gesture is an attempt to provide prisoners with an opportunity to start a new life and alleviate their families hardships.
You should know that every year ahead of Holy month, each of the seven emirates pardons and releases thousands of prisoners in the spirit of Ramadan. In 2018, H.H. Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan ordered the release of 977 prisoners in Abu Dhabi.
