Bollywood handsome hunk, Shahid Kapoor is currently gearing up for the release of his sports drama-‘Jersey’. The film is a Hindi remake of Telugu hit film, which starred Nani and Shraddha Srinath. Amidst the anticipation around this upcoming film, the actor is currently making buzz for his digital venture. The ‘Kabir Singh’ actor is apparently gearing up to mark his digital debut soon with a web series.
According to a report by Pinkvilla, a source while talking about Shahid Kapoor has informed them, “Shahid has signed a big digital series which will be directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, the directors of Stree and The Family Man. After tasting super success with The Family Man especially on the web, several OTT giants were in talks with the director duo to design a project for them. They have finally been signed on by a leading digital platform for an original show which will have all the essential ingredients that a usual Bollywood film has. It’s a thriller that will have the quirks of Raj and DK infused in it. They approached Shahid for the same and he loved it. He has signed on the dotted line.”
Reportedly, Shahid Kapoor had earlier signed Rs.100 crore deal with OTT streaming giant, Netflix. Apparently, his web series will be bankrolled by the same production house. The actor is yet to complete his shoot schedule for the cricket drama, ‘Jersey’ before he begins the work for the web series. The actor is also a part Shashank Khaitan’s film, ‘Yoddha’. This film will be produced by Karan Johar.
