Confirmed: Shahid Kapoor’s ‘Jersey’ to release on THIS date

Shahid Kapoor’s sports drama film, ‘Jersey’ is one of the most anticipated films. In December, the actor announced that he has wrapped up the shoot. On Sunday, the ‘Jab We Met’ actor took to his social media handle and announced the release date of his film.

The actor shared a picture of himself dressed in cricket gear and announced the release date, “JERSEY releasing in theatres this DIWALI 5th November 2021. The triumph of the human spirit. A journey I am so very proud of. This ones for the TEAM …. @mrunal0801 @gowtam19 @GeethaArts @theamangill @SVC_official @SitharaEnts”

While filming in Chandigarh, the ‘Udta Punjab’ actor suffered an injury, thanking his fans for the concern, he wrote, “Thank you for all the concern. Yes I have got a few stitches but am recovering fast. #jersey has taken a little bit of my blood but a script this good deserves that in the least. Have a good one you all. Keep it real. Make it count. Spread the love. Humanity above all.”

‘Jersey’ is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri, produced by Aman Gill, Dil Raju, and S.Naga Vamsi. It is adapted from his 2019 Tollywood film under the same title, which was portrayed by Nani. The film also features Mrunal Thakur and Pankaj Kapur in the lead. The story is about a thirty-six-year-old cricketer who stopped his cricketing career ten years ago, now aiming to play for the Indian team.
