Superstar Shah Rukh Khan‘s son Aryan Khan was reportedly detained on Sunday by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). It was over a drug seizure on Cordelia Cruises’ Empress ship off the Mumbai coast last night. The raid conducted by zonal director Sameer Wankhede on October 2 led to the detention of 7-8 people. The NCB sleuths seized drugs such as cocaine, hashish and MD from the alleged rave party on board the ship.
A statement from the NCB, released on Sunday reads, “On the basis of specific information, the officials of NCB Mumbai conducted a raid on Cordelia cruise which was bound from Mumbai to Goa on 02.10.2021. During the operation, all suspects as per the information were searched for various drugs like MDMA/ Ecstasy, Cocaine, MD (Mephedrone) and charas that has been recovered. A total of eight people including two females have been apprehended and their role is being investigated.”
Sources added the accused could be charged under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
As reported by sources to News 18, The NCB hasn’t yet spelt out the role of Aryan Khan, in the case. But officers are questioning him. His phone has been seized and they are going through his WhatsApp chats. He is neither booked nor charged or arrested so far, revealed Sameer Wankhede, Zonal Director of NCB.
