Shah Rukh Khan Set To Play Journalist In R Madhavan’s Rocketry?
Rocketry is a biopic based on scientist Nambi Narayan.
Shah Rukh Khan has not been seen on the big screen after Aanand L Rai’s 2018 film Zero. While the actor has been actively producing projects, he has not announced any new projects as an actor. However, according to sources Shah Rukh Khan could next be seen in a cameo appearance in R Madhavan’s Rocketry.
The film is a biopic based on scientist Nambi Narayan. In addition to reports of his cameo in Rocketry, multiple sources have also suggested that Shah Rukh Khan could be seen in Ayan Mukherji’s Brahmastra. However, no official confirmation for either news has been made yet. Brahmastra features big names like Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor.
“Ayan and Maddy are extremely fond of SRK and believe no one but he fits the bill. Neither are run-of-the-mill cameos but are integral to the plot and carry the narrative forward,” a source revealed to Mumbai Mirror.
In addition, the reports also suggested that SRK will be portraying “a journalist who interviews scientist Nambi Narayan, and takes us through the protagonist’s journey in flashback.”
R Madhavan also had an extended cameo in SRK’s Zero as a NASA scientist so it not out of the realm of possibility that SRK could cameo in Rocketry.
Meanwhile, it is also being rumored that Shah Rukh Khan could be working with Rajkumar Hirani for his next project. During an AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on Twitter, SRK hinted on the project by saying “Raju apna sa lagta hai” when a Twitter user asked him about directors he would love to work with.
