Shabana Azmi injured in a car accident on Mumbai-Pune Expressway

Veteran actress Shabana Azmi met with an accident on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway in Maharashtra’s Raigad district. Reportedly, the incident took place around 3.30 pm near Khalapur.

As per a PTI report, the accident took place around 60km away from Mumbai. Raigad Superintendent of Police Anil Paraskar informed the news agency that the veteran actress’ car crashed into a truck. Soon she was rushed to MGM hospital in Navi Mumbai.

Reportedly, the actress’s husband and lyricist Javed Akhtar was also present along with her in the car, but he is safe.
