Sean Duffy and Rachel Campos-Duffy welcomed the arrival of their ninth child on October 1st. Valentina Stella Maris Duffy was born by cesarean section, a month before her due date.
Sean Duffy, the former Representative for Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District, resigned in September to spend time with his family as his daughter would need open-heart surgery and has Down’s Syndrome.
Rachel Duffy shared the news on Facebook, saying “Valentina was born with a heart defect (2 holes in the heart and valves that need to be fixed). She will need surgery in 3-4 months. As we suspected, Valentina was also born with an extra chromosome, which means she also has Downs [sic] Syndrome. That extra chromosome certainly made her EXTRA cute. Life is wonderful!!”
She also took the time to thank the team of nurses at Aspirus OB & NICU in Wausau, Wisconsin where Valentina was born. She also said that their daughter, Paloma, now wants to be a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) nurse.
Sean Duffy wrote on Facebook that his family would, “need even more love, time, and attention due to complications.”
The Republican representative who has 8 kids with the Fox Nation Host namely Evita, 19, Xavier, 17, Lucia-Belen, 15, John-Paul, 13, Paloma, 11, Maria-Victoria, 9, Margarita, 5, and Patrick, 3 said, “I will be forever grateful for and humbled by the faith and sacred trust you have put in me all these years. I am especially grateful for the prayers said on behalf of our family. We hope they keep coming. I will miss being your Congressman, but I am also looking forward to having more time with my family, being home for more birthdays and hockey games, and having time to enjoy and care for our new baby girl, who is already so loved by our family.”
