Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson, Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Captain America, and Black Widow respectively are all set to reunite for a romantic-action film, ‘Ghosted,’ according to The Hollywood Reporter. Dexter Fletcher, who earlier directed Elton John’s biopic Rocketman, will be helming the project.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, the project is described “as a high-concept romantic action adventure in the vein of Romancing the Stone, the 1984 adventure movie that starred Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner.” The details of the project are yet to be revealed.
Evans will produce the project along with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger of ‘Skydance.’ ‘Deadpool’ writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are writing the script. For Johansson, this is the second deal she has made since filing her lawsuit against Disney over alleged contract breaches with the Disney+ release of ‘Black Widow.’
Chris and Scarlett are also good friends in real-life too. The duo has worked together in six Avengers films. Apart from MCU, Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson have been a part of together in ‘The Perfect Score’ (2004) and ‘The Nanny Diaries’ (2007).
On the work front, Johansson will also be seen in Wes Anderson’s yet-untitled movie, which has gone on floors in Spain. Whereas, Evans recently wrapped up work on the action-thriller film, ‘The Gray Man’, and also has sci-fi black comedy ‘Don’t Look Up.’
