Apparently, the makers of the movie ‘Sanju’ received a legal notice from gangster Abu Salem for showcasing wrong information against him.
According to the notice, the scene where Ranbir Kapoor gives confessional statement about the possession of arms and ammunition during the communal tensions around our country in the year 1993 is defaming Abu Salem’s client because his client never supplied the arms and ammunition as alleged to Mr. Sanjay Dutt which is pictured in the film.
The notice was sent by Salem’s lawyer to Raj Kumar Hirani, Vidhu Vinod Chopra, the distributors and the production companies involved, with the demand stating removal of the scenes which allegedly caused defamation to the gangster.

The notice also included a threat, with defamation case if the scenes are not removed within a period of 15 days.
It seems that Salem is under pressure of being exposed completely and the fame he has received just of being gangster is under threat due to film. So his lawyer took whole efforts of filing a notice for a gangster who has taken lives of people and involved in loot cases.
Though the notice claims that Salem never met actor Sanjay Dutt or supplied arms and ammunition to him. Authorities and investigative officers along with court must be aware of facts.
Currently, the gangster is going through a life sentence in jail after being convicted in the 1993 Mumbai blasts. Before that he was also given seven years strict imprisonment in 2002 extortion case by Delhi Court.
