Sanjay Dutt has been reportedly been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. On Saturday, the ‘Panipat’ actor along with his sister Priya Dutt were seen visiting Kokilaben Hospital, on Sunday, the brother-sister duo visited Mumbai’s Kokilaben Hospital for consultations.
Now, as per the report, in Mumbai Mirror, Dutt will be undergoing chemotherapy sessions for lung cancer at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital. The actor met Dr. Jalil Parkar, senior pulmonologist on Sunday and his meeting went for over three hours, after which Sanjay stayed back for another round of checkup. Earlier, it was reported that he will be flying to the US for his treatment.
Last week, the ‘Munnabhai’ actor was hospitalized in Lilavati hospital after he complained of breathlessness, however, tested negative for Coronavirus. Though the family has not confirmed the ailment, the actor, earlier tweeted that he will be on a medical break.
Dutt’s wife Maanayata, earlier, released an official statement on his health, she said, her husband is a fighter and so is their family and that even though this is a setback, they will emerge as winners. “We need all the strength and prayers to overcome this phase. There is a lot that the family has gone through in the past years but I am confident, this too shall pass,” she said.
On the work front, Dutt is awaiting the release of ‘Sadak 2’ and ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’, which will release on Disney+ Hotstar.
