Sanjay Dutt, who is undergoing treatment for lung cancer in Mumbai was spotted at Yash Raj Films studios in Mumbai on Monday evening as he has resumed shooting for his upcoming film, Shamshera, reportedly, the actor completed the first round of chemotherapy last weekend.
According to a report in Times Of India, “Sanjay Dutt is back to shooting for ‘Shamshera’. He will be shooting for two days, after which he will go in for the next leg his treatment.”
Sanjay Dutt will begin his second round of chemotherapy this week.
Earlier, Dutt was supposed to fly to the US for his treatment, now, he will be continuing it in Mumbai, “For those asking, Sanju will complete his preliminary treatment in Mumbai. We will formulate further plans of travel depending on how and when the Covid situation eases. As of now, Sanju is in the best hands of our esteemed doctors at Kokilaben hospital. I request everyone, with my folded hands, to stop speculating the stage of his illness and let the doctors continue to do their work. We will update you all regularly with his progress.” shared Dutt’s wife Maanayata in a statement.
According to Dr. Jalil Parkar, who helped with Sanjay’s’ diagnoses and treatment said, “Sanjay is taking his treatment at Kokilaben Ambani Hospital and he’s going to continue doing so. When he last met me, he had expressed this desire. Seems, for the time being, he has deferred his plans of traveling to the US and getting treated.”
On the other hand, Shamshera also stars Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor. It is produced by Aditya Chopra’s Yash Raj Films. The film is written and being directed by Karan Malhotra, the film was scheduled to release on July 31, 2020, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the production was delayed.
