The veteran actor of Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan is one of the most charismatic person in the industry and several actors wants to share the screen space with him. However, they are few celebs who didn’t wanted to be in Big B’s film for a serious reason. Sanjay Dutt is in the list. Baba once refused to work with Bachchan for his than blockbuster movie, ‘Khuda Gawa’.
Amitabh Bachchan’s film, ‘Khuda Gawa’ is considered as one of the evergreen movies of Bollywood. The film also starred the late actress, Sridevi and it was received well by the audience. Originally, Sanjay Dutt was the first choice for the lead role in the movie. And Amitabh was supposed to have a cameo role in the film. However, Dutt is said to have stepped back out of the project because of Big B. As per the report in Lehere Retro, the ‘Khalnayak’ actor thought that he wouldn’t get enough screen space if Amitabh was a part of the film. And thus, he stepped out of the project despite the director Mukul S. Anand requested him to do this film. Later, the role was offered to south actor, Nagarjuna. When the film got delayed further, Sr. Bachchan was starred in the lead role opposite Sridevi.
Apparently, later when the film broke several records at the box-office, Sanjay Dutt said that his decision to exit from the project was right.
Amitabh Bachchan and Sanjay Dutt both have shared the screen space in several films such as ‘Ek Ajnabee’, ‘Deewar’, ‘Aladin’, ‘Shootout at Lokhandwala’ to name a few. Both of them share a warm bond of friendship.
