Sanjay Dutt responding ‘very well’ to treatment, says family member

In August, it was reported that Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt has been diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer. He has also announced a break from his professional commitments through his social media handles. Now, the 61-year-old actor’s family member shared a health update on the Munna Bhai actor. They said he is responding to the treatment.
“The news was like he has got six months or this month to live, (but) it has never been that scene. He was detected with a kind of lung cancer for which treatment started in Mumbai and he has responded very well to the treatment, he went for his test today and the results have come out very good. With God’s grace and everyone’s blessings, he has responded very well,” Dutt’s family member told PTI.
Recently, the Kalank actor opened up on his cancer scar, in an Instagram video shared by celebrity hairstylist Aalim Hakim. In the video, the actor says, “This is a recent scar in my life, but I’ll beat it. I’ll be out of this cancer soon.”
A few days back, the actor and his wife Maanayata Dutt had travelled to Dubai to spend some quality time with their children.
On the work front, Dutt was last seen in Mahesh Bhatt’s Sadak 2, alongside Alia Bhatt and Aditya Roy Kapur. Currently, he is gearing up for the shooting of his next, KGF: Chapter 2 starring Yash, this film also marks his Kannada debut.
