As Samsung Galaxy S10 look is giving a hard competition to all latest gadgets. This headline-grabbing company has one more mobile lined-up which is going to launch soon. But, this time, Samsung will launch a smartphone with a foldable display.
If the report is to be believed, this most awaited smartphone will be launched before November this year. While speaking to CNBC, Samsung’s Mobile Division CEO DJ Koh has confirmed “it’s time to deliver” a Galaxy smartphone with a folding display. He also hinted, the launch might happen as soon as November at the Samsung Developer Conference in San Francisco.
Koh said Samsung is moving fast “after consumer surveys…showed that there is a market for that kind of handset” and he has previously admitted Samsung “didn’t want to lose the world’s first title” to a rival.
Koh didn’t elaborate the exact design of the folding smartphone (which has gone by both ‘Galaxy X’ and ‘Galaxy F’ in past leaks), but he stressed both Samsung’s attention to detail in making it and the high expectations.
This foldable smartphone is said to be about seven inches diagonally, roughly the size of a small tablet. When folded, the exterior of the phone is said to offer a small display bar on the front and cameras in the back, with an all-screen design when opened up.
Samsung is made to make its end customer happy and they are doing it in a right way, “Every feature, every innovation should have a meaningful message to our end customer. So when the end customer uses it [they think] ‘wow, this is the reason Samsung made it’.” he further said.
Samsung is making an all efforts to be the first company to come out with a foldable smartphone, beating other companies like Apple to the new design. Rumours have suggested that Apple is also experimenting with an iPhone with a foldable display.
