Salman Khan ropes in Rohit Nayyar for upcoming rom-com
Rohit Nayyar to direct Salman Khan's upcoming romantic drama starring Nushrat Bahrucha
Superstar Salman Khan is all set to produce his next a rom-com under Salman Khan Films Banner. The last film produced by the Dabangg Khan was ‘Notebook’ featuring Zaheer Iqbal and Pranutan. It is being reported that Rohit Nayyar of Samir Aftab and Hrishitaa Bhatt-starrer Shadow(2009) fame has been roped in to direct the film.
As reported by Mumbai Mirror, The rom-com revolves around a wedding and Nushrat Bharucha is in talks for the lead, but the cast is yet to be finalized. Director-writer Raaj Shaandilyaa has been roped in to pen the dialogue. Rohit has also written the story.
According to a source, the family entertainer will mark a comeback for Rohit who is associated with Aftab Shivdasani-Gracy Singh’s film ‘Muskaan’, ‘Aasma: The Sky Is The Limit’ with Hrishitaa, Nauheed Cyrusi, and Seema Biswas. He was also an assistant director on Salman Khan, Preity Zinta, and Rani Mukerji starrer ‘Har Dil Jo Pyar Karega’.
The movie will go on the floor as soon as Salman Khan wraps up the shoot of ‘Dabangg 3’. It will be shot in outskirts of Delhi and will be wrapped up in a start to finish schedule, beginning from September.
On the work front, Salman Khan is at present gearing for the release of ‘Bharat’. The Ali Abbas Zafar directorial also features Katrina Kaif, Disha Patani, Nora Fatehi, Tabu, Jackie Shroff and Sunil Grover in pivotal roles. He is also busy with the shoot of ‘Dabangg 3’. Next on the pipeline is Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Inshallah’ with Alia Bhatt and a remake of Korean film ‘Veteran’.
