Salman Khan — who is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Bharat along with Katrina Kaif refused to get National Award. During media interaction, when Salman was asked, would he get a National Award for this film, he said that he only needs a reward instead of any awards.
Answering media’s question, the Bajrangi Bhaijan actor said that according to him there is no better reward than the entire country (Bharat) watching his films. He also urged people to watch Bharat in theatres, which is scheduled to release on 5 June 2019. Talking about the story of Bharat, Salman Khan said, “This is a Korean film and we have brought this to Bharat. We liked the plot of this film and bring it to India. We struggled hard and made several changes in its plot.”
Talking about his five different characters which he is playing in Bharat, Salman said, “We have attached it to country’s growth. In one of my characters, I go to Arab to support people when Oil came out. Later, there was a wind of recruitment in the Merchant Navy so I decided to enrol in Navy too and so on.”
Salman Khan, who is known for delivering several blockbuster movies on Eid such as Wanted, Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai and others, is all set to break all records with Bharat this year. It is to be noted that Bharat is an official adaptation of Korean Blockbuster film, Ode To My Father.
Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, Apart from Salman and Katrina, the film features Disha Patani, Nora Fatehi, Jackie Shroff and Tabu in the lead role.
