Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3 is one of the most anticipated projects from Bollywood. The action entertainer is being bankrolled by Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films. The makers apparently decided to dismantle the film’s Goregaon sets, because they didn’t want to afford the maintenance cost amidst the uncertainty of the pandemic Coronavirus lockdown.
Tiger 3’s shootings were delayed several times due to different reasons. Reportedly in April, the makers wanted to shoot for the film, but Katrina Kaif tested positive for the Coronavirus. After she was recovered, the Cyclone Tauktae caused major distractions on the sets leading to further delay in shootings. Owing to the second wave of a pandemic the Maharashtra government introduced new lockdown-like restrictions, again the delay in shoots. The producers reportedly had to pay a hefty price for the maintenance of the sets and they were not being able to shoot. Thus they’ve now decided to dismantle the sets no knowing when they will be able to resume the shootings all over again.
Talking about the movie, a source informed Mid-Day that the studio wanted to be careful given the scale of the film and they are currently focused on getting everyone vaccinated first. The source informs, “Considering Tiger 3 has a massive crew of about 300 people, Aditya wants the team to be vaccinated before they report to work. Maintaining the outdoor structure was turning out to be an expensive affair. They realized it will be easier on the pocket to erect a set whenever they are ready to resume work.”
