The movie is set in the backdrop of wrestling. After the death of his son, Sultan Ali Khan who is a middle-aged wrestler, gives up on his sports career and lives a normal life. Years later, he sets out to revive his career as he needs the prize money and wants to regain his lost respect. Anushka Sharma portrayed his onscreen lady love, who is also a wrestler. The movie was helmed by Ali Abbas Zafar and it performed well at the box-office.
Bajrangi Bhaijaan
The movie is set in the backdrop of humanity and kindness. Salman Khan portrayed the role of Pawan, a devotee of Lord Hanuman, who finds a young speechless girl from Pakistan, who is lost in Haryana. Pawan soon learns that she belongs to Pakistan and sets out to reunite her with her family at great personal cost. The movie showcases the hurdle that a man goes through when accidentally crosses the border. The film also featured Kareena Kapoor and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in the key roles and it was helmed by Kabir Khan and it also performed well at the box-office.
Ek Tha Tiger
Salman Khan portrayed the role of a RAW agent, Tiger. He is then sent Dublin to observe an Indian scientist who is suspected of sharing nuclear secrets with the ISI. He meets and falls for his caretaker Zoya(portrayed by Katrina), a girl with a dark secret. Both of them fall in love with each other and get separated due to their different nationality. The film was helmed by Kabir Khan.
Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam
This Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s directorial was one of the classic hit from Bollywood. The movie revolves around the life of Nandini (portrayed by Aishwarya Rai) is a free-spirited but spoiled rich girl. She falls for the half-Italian, half-Indian Sameer (Salman Khan), a young man who moves to her family mansion to study classical music under the guidance of her father. Sameer and Nandini indulge in a romantic relationship, while her family arranges her marriage with a lawyer Vanraj (Ajay Devgan). In a heartbroken state, Sameer returns to Italy, but the newly married Nandini continues to write to him, intent on reuniting with her lost love. The movie has some of the chartbuster songs and it also performed well on the box-office.
