Salman Khan has been hosting one of the most watched television show ‘Bigg Boss‘ since its season 4 but now reports are doing the rounds that a female co-host is likely to join Salman in Bigg Boss 13. Notably, season 13 of Bigg Boss is scheduled to air on 29 September 2019.
Unlike previous years, the sets of Bigg Boss has been shifted from Lonavala to Mumbai’s Film City so that Salman can shoot for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film Inshallah simultaneously. The Race 3 actor is currently busy promoting his upcoming film Bharat, which is slated to release on Eid 2019 or June 5. The film is an official adaptation of South Korean film An Ode to My Father.
A source close to the development told Bollywood Life, “Salman felt that to add freshness to this year’s season, the makers should get a female co-host. Apparently, Salman might take a backseat and give his female co-host more exposure so that she can bring newness to the show. Nothing is concrete as of now, these are mere ongoing conversations.”
The name of the female co-host has not yet finalised.
The 13th season of Bigg Boss will only have celebrities contestants. The idea of pairing commoners with celebrities has been called off as it did not work for the show last season.
Prior to Salman Khan, the show was hosted by Bollywood actors Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt and Shilpa Shetty Kundra.
