After getting shelved Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah, which was supposed to hit the theatres on Eid 2020, Salman Khan has promised to release his one of the films on Eid next year. However, Salman has not yet mentioned the name of the film. There are several reports doing the rounds that Salman might release Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick 2. There is no official announcement of the same is made as of now.
Days after Sanjay Leela Bhansali called off Inshallah with Salman Khan, there are rumours flying high that Anand L Rai has approached Salman for a comedy film. If the report is to be beleived, similar to David Dhawan’s Judwaa, Dabangg 3 actor will play a double role in Anand L Rai’s next.
As per the source close to Bollywood Hungama, the comic drama revolving around two characters who look identical to each other, leading to many funny incidents and misunderstandings. Salman has earlier starred in David Dhawan’s Judwaa and it was a blockbuster. While Salman has not yet given his nod to this project while it is being said that SLB has now offered Inshallah to Shah Rukh Khan instead. For the unversed, Shah Rukh and Anand L Rai have recently worked together in Zero, which did not fare well at the box office.
According to the source, “When Aanand heard that Inshallah wasn’t happening with Salman, he approached him with a script which he will direct. While it’s a comedy, it will have its unique emotional twist, as Aanand’s films have. If they do decide to go ahead with this movie, Aanand and Salman will both produce it. Both are discussing the script, dates and other issues and everything is under wraps right now. Once Dabangg 3 gets complete, Salman can give his dates to any movie he wants. Aanand’s movie is the comedy that everyone has been speculating about.”
About the project, the source further revealed, “It’s an out-and-out comedy action entertainer and a con story based in Uttar Pradesh. Like Judwaa, Salman’s character (if he gives his nod to it) will have a double role. Imagine, two not one Salman Khans on Eid!”
If everything falls in place, Salman Khan’s comedy film would clash Akshay Kumar’s Laxmi Bomb as he has shifted his film to Eid 2020.
