According to Forbes, George Clooney earned an estimated $239 million between June 2017-June 2018, marking the highest earnings of his 35-year career in film and television and is hence the highest paid actor in the world. While Akshay ranks seventh on the list taking home a sum of $40.5 million, Salman’s annual income amounts to $38.5 million between June 1, 2017 and June 1, 2018.
Shah Rukh Khan who ranked seventh last year has fallen off the list. Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Padman actor Akshay Kumar had rounded off at the 10th position but has ascended to the seventh position this year.
Salman Khan owes his success to films like Tiger Zinda Hai and Race 3. The second position in the list was retained by Dwayne Johnson with $124 million in his pocket, thanks to films like Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Rampage.
However, the list was dominated by actors of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Robert Downey Jr, who is reportedly one of the most expensive actors in MCU, and his fellow Avenger Chris Hemsworth ranked third and fourth, respectively.
