Saira Banu thanks PM Modi for ‘gracious call’ post demise of Dilip Kumar

Legendary Bollywood actor, Yusuf Khan aka Dilip Kumar passed away at the age of 98 in Mumbai. He had been on medical attention for an age-related illness for a long time. On Wednesday i.e July 7, he breathed his last early in the morning. His wife, Saira Banu thanked PM Narendra Modi for calling early morning to express grief. The veteran actress expressed her gratitude to PM Modi for sending condolences through a ‘gracious call’.
Saira Banu took to Dilip Kumar’s official Twitter handle and shared a cryptic note. Reacting to one of PM Narendra Modi’s tweet posts, she wrote, “Thank you hon’ ble @PMOIndia Shri @narendramodi ji for your early morning gracious phone call and condolences. -Saira Banu Khan.”

In another Tweet post, Saira Banu thanked Maharashtra Chief Minister -Uddhav Thackeray for the state honors that were given to Dilip Kumar for his funeral. “Thank you @PMOIndia and @CMOMaharashtra for according Dilip Sahib burial with state funeral protocols. – Saira Banu Khan.”

Bollywood celebs including Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Johnny Lever, Ranbir Kapoor, Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur paid their last respects to Dilip Kumar. On Wednesday, celebs were spotted at the actor’s Mumbai house.
