Saif Ali Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez and Yami Gautam will be seen sharing the screen space in the upcoming horror-comedy, Bhoot Police. The movie has been in the buzz ever since the official announcement last year. According to the latest reports the makers are planning to release the film digitally amidst the pandemic.
Owing to the pandemic Coronavirus outspread in India, many states are following partial lockdowns. TV and Bollywood industries are highly affected due to restrictions. Following the footsteps of few filmmakers, the makers of Bhoot Police reportedly looking forward to releasing Bhoot Police digitally. Talking about the same, a source informed Pinkvilla, “There is so much uncertainty around the country due to the spike in Covid-19 cases and no one can assure as to when will things be back to normal. The cinema consumption habit has also changed for the audience significantly and only event films will get the cash registers ringing to start with. Hence, Ramesh Ji decided to take a direct to digital route with his horror-comedy.”
The source also mentions that Disney+Hotstar is currently on an acquisition spree and it is currently in talks with many producers to release their films on the platform. If everything is on track then they will announce interesting things ahead. Much about Bhoot Police has not been unleashed as of yet, however, there has been a strong buzz about the movie.
