Sacred Games is an upcoming web television series by Netflix based on Vikram Chandra’s 2006 thriller novel Sacred Games. Netflix announced Sacred Games, the production of an original series in partnership with Phantom Films on June 6, 2016.
The series revolves around a contemptuous Mumbai city cop Sartaj Singh who is tipped off on the location of crime lord Ganesh Gaitonde. As the lives of these two men collide, it exposes the trappings of a bigger game than the both of them.
The star cast includes Saif Ali Khan as Sartaj Singh, Nawazuddin siddiqui as Ganesh Gaitonde, Radhika Apte as Anjali Mathur, Surveen Chawla as Zoya Mirza, Rajshri Deshpande as Jojo and Anupriya Goenka as Megh.
All eight hour-long episodes are to be directed by Anurag Kashyap and Vikramaditya Motwane, who are co-founders of Phantom Films. The production wrapped on 28 January, with first look released on 23 February.The show is one of the seven Netflix Indian Originals in production.

Where as the Netflix introduction is stated as “Set amid the chaos of Mumbai, this epic series explores the corrupt underworld lurking beneath India’s economic renaissance. Based on the novel”.
