Congress will form the next government in Rajasthan: Sachin Pilot
Rajasthan Congress president Sachin Pilot on Thursday accused state Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje of ignoring the needs of the citizens, while also claiming that his party will come to power after the State elections later this year.
“Congress is going to form the government in Rajasthan and you will feel that it is your own government,” said Pilot, quoted the PTI. He was speaking at the Congress’ ‘Sankalp Rally’ in Dungarpur. National Congress chief Rahul Gandhi was also present at the rally.
Accusing the CM of ignoring the plight of the people, the Congress leader further said that Raje was nowhere to be seen when children died due to malnutrition near Udaipur, or when infants died in Banswara and farmers committed suicide.

He also added that law and order have worsened in the state and that Rajasthan has reached very low in maintaining the law and order.
“Every day 8-10 rapes take place,” added Pilot. “Atrocities against Dalits and others take place and the crime rate has also grown in Rajasthan.”
Taking a dig at the CM for its unsuccessful ‘Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra’ which proved to be a massive failure in Rajasthan, Mr. Pilot said, that the High Court has banned the use of public money for it and poor public response.
“People have understood her (Raje). She had a golden opportunity (to serve the people) as her party (BJP) had got a huge mandate (in the last elections) but she betrayed the people,” he said.
Mr. Pilot also questioned the CM over her claim that RS 17,000 crore were spent in Jhalawar district, her constituency, during her tenure.
The Chief Minister should tell where the RS 17,000 crore went if the collector feels that the district is backward, added Mr. Pilot.
