The recently married couple who had refrained their guest from sharing their wedding pictures has finally shared a sneak peek into their wedding and posted several pictures on social media handles on November 20.
The couple tied the knot in Konkani and Sindhi style in Italy’s picturesque Lake Como on November 14 and 15. The pictures of Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh’s wedding were so stunning that celebs like Karan Johar and Sonakshi Sinha vividly expressed their desire to get married.
It is to be noted that, a well-known designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee was the man behind those exquisite and marvellous wedding outfit of Deepika-Ranveer. Soon after the couple shared their first wedding pictures, even the designer posted their photos alongside the caption, “Deepika Padukone (@deepikapadukone) and Ranveer Singh (@ranveersingh) head-to-toe in Sabyasachi for their wedding in Lake Como, Italy. All of us at Sabyasachi wish the lovely couple our very best for a wonderful and happy married life. ”
Do you know that the stunning saree Deepika wore for her Konkani style wedding was not designed by Sabyasachi? Yes, you read that right, as per Konkani tradition Deepika’s saree was in fact given to her by her mother Ujjala Padukone. So the saree was actually bought from Angadi Galleria and not designed by Sabyasachi. As soon as this fact was brought into everyone’s notice, Sabyasachi was highly criticised for claiming wrong credits.

This is not the first time, Sabyasachi made a grave mistake. Last year he had done the same mistake by claiming that he had designed cricketer Virat Kohli’s reception outfit which was actually designed by Raghavendra.
After that, Sabyasachi then issued apologies by posting, “And BTW @virat.kohli looks absolutely dapper in a @raghavendra.rathore We had made a very similar piece and in the confusion of the great Indian wedding the credits got swapped. Mr. Mukherjee is personally a huge fan of the Rathore label and deeply regrets the error.”
