Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput left the film industry reeling when he committed suicide. The actor was last seen in Chhichhore that released last year. However, the actor was also a part of Dil Bechara alongside newcomers Sanjana Sanghi. Dil Bechara is the directorial debut of Mukesh Chhabra. It is a remake of The Fault In Our Stars. The film was slated for a release in May. However, a new report has revealed that Sushant Singh Rajput had also signed a movie with Rumi Jaffery where he would star opposite his rumored girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty.
As per Writer-director Rumi Jaffery, he had signed both the stars and was scheduled to start filming in May. The untitled rom-com would have showcased Sushant’s dancing skills. Rumi Jaffery told the Mumbai Mirror:
“A rom-com, it was to explore Sushant’s dancing skills. He was a fantastic dancer and my film would have showcased him in a different light. He loved Shah Rukh Khan’s acting and Govinda’s dance and that’s why I had a full-fledged dance number with Govinda-style moves planned for our mahurat.”
In addition, he has also confessed that he might never make the movie. “I may never make it; it was written keeping Sushant in mind,” he said.
The filmmaker shared that while Sushant did not have “too many friends in the industry”, he was passionate about his work. He said that the actor was looking forward to starting work soon but the lockdown postponed the plans. “He would get upset because he wanted to get back to work and rehearse,” Rumi said.
