RRR: Ram Charan & Jr NTR Film CONFIRMED To Hit Screens On January 7, 2022

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus RRR created a massive buzz since day one of its announcement. The period drama featuring Ram Charan and Jr NTR in Leading roles is all set for its theatrical release. The makers of the film have announced the film’s release date. RRR is set to release in theatres on January 7, 2022.

Ram Charan and Jr NTR too shared the release date on their respective Twitter handles.

RRR is set against the pre-independence era of the 1920s. The movie has South superstars Ram Charan and Jr NTR playing the roles of two legendary freedom fighters, Alluri Seetharamaraju and Komaram Bheem. Made on a lavish budget of Rs 400 crore, the movie also has Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn in pivotal roles. They are joined by host of international actors like Ray Stevenson and Alison Doody in supporting roles.

The highly-awaited film of 2022 is produced by DVV Danayya while PEN Studios owns the theatrical distribution rights across North India.

Earlier this year, the producers of RRR announced that Netflix and ZEE5 have acquired the streaming rights of RRR. They said that post the theatrical release of RRR. The films Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada versions will be made available on ZEE5. Netflix will stream the Hindi, Portuguese, Korean, Turkish and Spanish versions of RRR.
