On March 25, the Indian Premier League (IPL) lovers will have another intresting match between Rajasthan Royals and Kings Xi Punjab. The match between Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab will be played at the SMS stadium on Monday night. If reports are anything to go by, the Australian run-machine Steve Smith is likely to make his comeback from today’s match.
There is a lot at stake at today’s match as it will feature two key players Ajinkya Rahane and Stev Smith. It is to be noted that Steve Smith was banned last year for his role in the ball-tampering scandal. As we all know that the World Cup is just a few weeks away and there is nothing better than IPL to impress the Australian cricket board and Indian national selectors for Steve Smith and Ajinkya Rahane respectively. This IPL is like a launchpad for their return to their respective national team.
Talking about Indian Premier League, Rahane had earlier said that playing IPL is like a dream for every cricketer and he would not leave any stone unturned to grab the opportunity coming his way.
There had been some talk about his elbow injury, but the captain of Rajasthan Royals, Ajinkya Rahane said that he was fit and available for selection. “It is good to have him back at the Rajasthan Royals, where he is part of the family,” Rahane said. “We are all excited to have him back. He missed out on a year, and he is as excited as we are,” Ajinky told Sportsstar.
Besides, Ajinkya Rahane, Stokes and Buttler, the team’s batting line-up also has Sanju Samson, Rahul Tripathi and Manan Vohra.
