If Congress comes to power, we’ll waive off farmers’ loan in 10 days: RPN Singh
Prior to the second phase of Chhattisgarh Assembly elections due on November 20, Congress leader and former state home minister RPN Singh took the Gangajal (Ganges Water) in his hand and swore, “If Congress is voted to power, we will waive off farmers’ loan within ten days.”

A few days back, while campaigning for Chhatisgarh Assembly Election, Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi had alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had waived off loans worth Rs. 3.5 lakh crore of 15 select industrialists during his tenure, but he did not waive off loans of Indian farmers.
Rahul Gandhi had promised to Chhatisgarh farmers saying that, “If we are voted to power after Chhatisgarh elections, Congress party will waive off farmers’ loans within 10 days.”
State president of Chhattisgarh Congress, Bhupesh Baghel, wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to apologise to farmers in Chhattisgarh.
