Juventus’s went six points clear at the top of the Serie A table after they secured a 3-1 comeback victory over Napoli at the Allianz Stadium on Saturday.
It was Belgian forward Dries Mertens who gave Carlo Ancelotti’s side the lead in the 10th minute by tapping the ball into an open net. But they were up for a special performance by none other than Cristiano Ronaldo, who had a part to play in all three of Juventus’s goals in the match.
He sent a cross for Mario Mandzukic headed in to level the score in the 26th minute. He once again combined with the Croatian forward to fetch his team their second and most importantly the lead, when his shot which hit the post was pounced upon by Mandzukic who scored off the rebound in the 49th minute. His flicked header to Leonardo Bonucci in the 76th minute helped Juventus seal a dominant win.
Things started to become worse for Napoli when Mario Rui was sent off following a second yellow card which he got after committing a foul on Argentine forward Paulo Dybala.

Ronaldo has three goals to his name so far in two of his eight matches for his new club. The Turin giants extended their winning run to seven games and have now established themselves as serious contenders for a successful defence of their Serie A title.
In the other matches, Roma defeated Lazio 3-1. Lorenzo Pellegrini scored the opener in the 45th minute before Ciro Immobile found the equaliser in the 67th. But goals from Aleksandar Kolarov and Federico Fazio in the 71st and 86th minutes helped Roma secure a win in the capital derby in front of the home crowd at the Stadio Olimpico.
It was also a fourth victory in five matches for Inter Milan as they defeated Cagliari 2-0 with Lautaro Martinez and Matteo Politano being the scorers.
