Filmmaker Rohit Shetty has facilitated eight hotels for officers of the Mumbai Police. These are the officers who are working during the coronavirus pandemic. The cops can rest and will also be served breakfast and dinner at these hotels.

Shetty and the Mumbai Police share a bond with Mumbai police. He has made a number of cop dramas, including Singham, Singham Returns, Simmba, and the yet-to-be-released Sooryavanshi.
Rohit has also extended his support to the daily wage workers of the film and television industries. For their relief during the lockdown, he contributed Rs 51 lakh to the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).
Before Shetty, his Simmba star Sonu Sood had offered his hotel in the city for the healthcare workers, doctors, nurses and the paramedical staff, for stay. Superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar too have donated generously.
