Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the film industry has seen many film shootings being delayed. Matt Reeves’ much-awaited film The Batman starring Twilight star Robert Pattinson was also amongst one of them. The team was shooting in the UK but the production was halted due to the lockdown imposed. Production for The Batman was shut down on March 14, and ever since then, it has been a waiting game to see when it would resume production.
However, with things starting to return back to normal, shooting for several films has resumed under the guidelines imposed by the government.
Kris Tapley, the host of Netflix’s The Call Sheet, shared the news about the restart of the film’s shoot in the UK. According to the tweet by Kris, The Batman will resume shooting in September. However, there is a big change on the way for the Robert Pattinson starrer film. As per the tweet, the film won’t be shot on real locations anymore. Instead, the entire film will be finished in the studio now. While Matt Reeves had said in an earlier interview, that he wants to shoot in London, it does not seem like a possibility anymore.
Kris Tapley tweeted, “Hearing THE BATMAN picks back up in September. All locations scrapped. Building everything in studio now.”
