DJ and Music producer Ritviz Srivastava also known as Vizdumb has slammed the makers of ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ and T-series for plagiarizing his track ‘Udd Gaye’ in the film.
Ritviz took to his social media handle to slam the makers and wrote, “I went to the theatre to watch a movie last month, just a regular night out with my folks. Halfway through the movie a track played and that’s when it really hit me. I was listening to a song that’s ridiculously similar to ‘Udd Gaye’. I am pretty sure there are others like me, and in case you are wondering if I was somehow involved in the making of the said song.”
“I would just like to clear the air and say that neither I or my appointed management/publisher/ distributor had any role to play in this nor was any adaptation license for my song ‘Udd Gaye’ taken by any music company in any part of the world. I just want to ask one question- why the F*CK someone do this”
Here’s the post:
Ritviz also shared a clip from the movie and shared it on his Instagram. Watch.
After seeing Ritviz’s post, many people came out in support of the artist, while some also called out to T-Series for the alleged plagiarism. He won the Bacardi House Party Sessions India talent hunt in 2017, and ‘Udd Gaye’ was released along with a music video by Nucleya and AIB. He received a massive hit of 2.5 Million views in just 4 weeks of its release.
The film ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ starred Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday in lead roles and was an adaptation of 1978 classic film drama ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh.’
