Bollywood’s versatile actor Rishi Kapoor breathed his last on April 30 at a hospital in Mumbai. The 67-year-old lost his battle to Cancer leaving behind family, friends, and fans grieving. He was cremated at Mumbai’s Chadanwadi Crematorium on Thursday, in the presence of a few members of his family and friends.
One person was missing and she was none other than Rishi’s daughter, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, who lives in Delhi. She couldn’t attend his last rites because of the nationwide lockdown. Riddhima got special permission from Delhi Police and took the road route to Mumbai from the capital on Friday.
Riddhima took to her Instagram stories to share that she has left for Mumbai to meet her mother, Neetu Kapoor. Sharing a video taken in her car, she wrote, “Driving home Ma. Enroute Mumbai (sic).”
She also shared a number of Rishi Kapoor’s photo with her on her stories. She wrote, “I miss you so much already papa! come back na.. (sic).”
Riddhima’s husband Bharat Sahni too penned an emotional post for his father-in-law, Rishi Kapoor. He wrote, “Will never forget the love you gave me. You taught me so much in the little time I had with you. Simply broken today. Lost for words. Love you and will miss you a lot. R.I.P. Papa🙏❤️🌺.(sic)”.
The mortal remains of Rishi Kapoor were taken to Mumbai’s Chandanwadi Crematorium on Thursday afternoon. Ranbir Kapoor performed his father’s last rites. Neetu Kapoor was seen in an emotional state. Also present were Alia Bhatt, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Armaan Jain, Rima Jain, and Aadar Jain, among others.
