Richa Moorjani is currently grabbing headlines all thanks to her new Netflix Original series ‘Never Have I Ever’ in which she plays the role of Kamala, the main lead Devi’s cousin who’s from India and lives in the United States while she completes her Ph.D. at Caltech. She has earned immense appreciation and stood out in the show for her acting skills.

Moorjani’s character has a strong factor to the South Indian women aspiring to break out of the stereotypes of being overly traditional. She believes that her character the show will benefit the viewers to observe a diverse side of arranged matrimonies.
On her personal front, did you know Richa is a trained dancer? Yes, you read that right! At the age of 5, she started training in dance and shortly started doing school and local community plays. In 2006, she was elected to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival (Scotland). She has also received her BA Degree with a minor in Theatre and Dance at U.C. Davis, Soon after, Richa moved to Los Angeles, California to pursue a career in acting in TV/Film.
Prior to ‘Never Have I Ever’, in 2012, Moorjani was a part of ‘The Mindy Project’ as well, wherein, she played a small role as a character named Geeta and this was the first time she had teamed up with Mindy Kailing for a project. Later, she was seen in Fox’s upper hit show 9-1-1 which has in the running for a long time now.
Richa Moorjani got married to her long time boyfriend Rishi Moorjani last year in a grand big fat Indian wedding style. The actress shared photos of her wedding on her social media.
