Judicial custody of Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik has been extended till October 20
The Special NDPS court on Tuesday extended the judicial custody of actress Rhea Chakraborty and brother Showik till October 20. Not only Rhea and Showik, But the court has also extended the judicial custody of 18 others arrested in the drug case related to Sushant Singh Rajput’s death.

As reported by sources to the business world, as many as 14 persons arrested in the case were produced before the special court here through video conferencing. The NCB has been opposing their bail. They had informed the High Court all persons arrested till now are connected to each other and it is a syndicate.
Rhea and her brother had approached the Mumbai High Court for bail and the court had reserved the order. The order is expected to come tomorrow. If the court approves their request, they will be freed from custody.
Rhea and Showik were arrested after WhatsApp chats regarding the use of drugs surfaced. “The actor was involved in the illicit trafficking of drugs and she financed drugs for Sushant Singh Rajput,” NCB has stated. Rhea and her brother were charged under Sections 20, 22, 27, and 29 of the NDPS (Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances) Act.
Now that the AIIMS forensic team has ruled out the murder theory in Sushant’s case. Rhea’s supporters have been demanding her release.
