Rhea Chakraborty without fan & bed in jail, put next to Indrani Mukerjea: Reports

Rhea Chakraborty who is the prime accused in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case has been reportedly kept in a single cell at Byculla jail, without a bed, pillow, or ceiling fan. On Friday, the actress’s bail plea was rejected by the special court and she will remain behind the bars till September 22, she was arrested by the NCB in connection with a drug-related case.

Now, according to the latest report in NDTV, Rhea Chakraborty has been kept in Mumbai’s Byculla jail and her cell is next to Indrani Mukerjea, who is accused in the murder of her daughter Sheena Bora. Sources state that the actress is kept in a single room over security reasons.

Reportedly,  Chakraborty is ‘guarded round the clock by two constables in three shifts’ and that she has been given a ‘mat to sleep on and hasn’t been given a bed or a pillow’, however, a table fan will be given to the actress if permitted by a court.

Due to the Coronavirus pandemic, the prisoners in the jail have been given milk and turmeric for immunity booster as the Byculla jail has witnessed some COVID-19 cases in the past few months, say officials.

Along with Rhea, the court also rejected the bail pleas her brother Showik Chakraborty and four others accused in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. They are Abdul Basit, Zaid Vilatra, Dipesh Sawant & Samuel Miranda have been rejected by a special court in Mumbai.

Recently, it was reported that Rhea confessed that Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet, designer Simone Khambatta, consumed narcotics substance. Reportedly, Rhea during her interrogation with the NCB revealed a few names of Bollywood celebrities who consumed and procured drugs.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead on June 14.
