Bollywood actress, Rhea Chakraborty had been arrested by the NCB alongside her brother, Showik, Samuel Miranda and late actor’s house help, Dipesh Sawant in drugs consuming and supplying case. The actress was kept in central’s custody at the Byculla jail and now her judicial custody has been extended. The actress with her brother approaches Bombay High Court for the bail.
According to news agency ANI, the judicial custody of Rhea Chakraborty has been now extended till October 6 by the Special NDPS court. Talking about the update, the actresses lawyer, Satish Maneshinde has informed the news agency, that, “Rhea Chakraborty & Showik Chakraborty have filed bail applications in the NDPS case before the Bombay High Court. It will come up for hearing on 23rd September. Details of the applications will be shared after the hearing”.
For the unversed, Rhea Chakraborty and Showik’s bail application was rejected by the special court and she was announced to be under 14 days judicial custody until September 22, as per the request by NCB official to probe the drug racket in the industry. The actresses lawyer now moves to the Bombay High Court with the plea of bail.
