It has been four years since Australian opener Phil Hughes breathed his last after getting struck by a delivery during a Sheffield Shield in 2014 match.
It was a rising delivery from paceman Sean Abbott that struck the inside half of the helmet of the 25-year-old Hughes that left him collapsed on the pitch at the Sydney Cricket Ground. Unfortunately, it was a blow that he could never really fight out of.
On the occasion of his fourth death anniversary, tributes poured for the left-hander, who was Australia’s Test cap no. 408.
Former Australian World Cup winning skipper Michael Clarke posted a photo on Twitter, remembering Hughes who was his good friend.
