Remembering Inder Kumar on his death anniversary
If you have seen ‘Masoom’ directed by Mahesh Kothare then the character of ‘Akash’ was played by Inder Kumar. Masoom was his debut film, after which his most recent project which did amazing job on box office was ‘Wanted’ with Salman Khan, in the year 2009.
Inder Kumar, who was born on 26th of August 1973, was an Indian actor best known for playing supporting roles in Hindi films such as Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge, Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye and Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi.
His birthplace was Jaipur, he studied in Mumbai from St. Xavier’s High School, Fort and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Vidyalaya (Mumbai), then completed his graduation. His mentor in movies was film publicist Rajoo Kariya who introduced him to film producers during early days of his career.

As mentioned earlier he made his debut with 1996 film Masoom, featuring in over 20 movies in a career lasting over twenty one years. He grabbed several notable films as a supporting actor such as Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi (1996), Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaaye (2000), Gaja Gamini (2000), Maa Tujhhe Salaam (2002) and Tumko Na Bhool Paayenge (2002). He also appeared on television in the Star Plus serial Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi playing the part of Mihir Virani opposite Smriti Irani in 2002.
Everyone’s career has a downfall and so has Inder, he suffered with a broken vertebrea from helicopter fall while doing his own stunt on the set of the film Maseeha in 2002 and that’s where he started loosing track on his career.
He also went through troublesome love life with two divorces and three marriages, also a matter of fact he dated Isha Koppikar on and off for 11 years. Later his relationships eventually landed him in depression. Though being charged with allegation of sexual assault he managed to sustain in Bollywood. Dolly Bindra was considered to be his close one and she supported her through out his life.
On 28 July 2017, Inder Kumar died after a cardiac arrest at his residence in Four Bungalows neighborhood of Andheri in Mumbai around 12.30 am and he was officially pronounced dead by 4 am.
He has two daughters, Khushi from first wife and Bhavana from the third wife. It is said that he failed to meet his first daughter Khushi for 3 years before his death.
He was shooting for a film titled Phati Padi Hai Yaar at the time of his death.
