Veteran actor, Ravi Patwardhan breathed his last at the age of 84. He spend his last moments at his Thane residence. The cause of his demise is said to be due to cardiac arrest. The veteran actor is known to have acted in many Marathi plays, Hindi films and serials.

As per the media reports, Ravi was complaining about having troubles in breathing, after which he was rushed to to a private hospital, however, he couldn’t survive. Reportedly, he had already survived an heart attack in the month of March this year.

At the mare of six in the year 1944, Ravi Patwardhan had began his acting career as artist in children’s play. Aranyak was first performed by Ravi Patwardhan in 1974 with Ratnakar Matkari. In this he played the role of Dhritarashtra. And even at the age of 82, he was playing the same role of Dhritarashtra in this play. He has 200 Hindi alongside several Marathi films to his credit. ‘Tejab’, ‘Ankush’, ‘Jhanjaar’, ‘Bond’ and ‘Yeshwan’ are among his popular Hindi films.
