Ratan Tata Commits Rs 500 crore from Tata Trusts To All Coronavirus Affected Communities
Ratan Tata has tweeted that Tata Trusts will commit Rs 500 crore to all affected communities
Every day, there have been positive cases for the deadly pathogen i.e Coronavirus in the country. The labourers, especially the daily wage workers have been badly affected by the lockdown. Celebrities specially the South stars are donating millions to help during these people at the time of crisis.
Also, entrepreneur and philanthropist Ratan Tata has taken the pledge to protect and empower all affected communities by committing Rs 500 crore for Personal Protective Equipment for the medical personnel on the frontlines, respiratory systems for treating increasing cases, testing kits to increase per capita testing, setting up modular treatment facilities for infected patients, knowledge management and training of health workers and the general public.
Releasing the statement, Mr. Tata tweeted, “The COVID 19 crisis is one of the toughest challenges we will face as a race. The Tata Trusts and the Tata group companies have in the past risen to the needs of the nation. At this moment, the need of the hour is greater than any other time.”

The Indian billionaire has earlier ensured full payments to their temporary workers and daily wage earners, for March and April who are working across their offices and production sites in India.
