Shammi Kapoor — son of Prithviraj Kapoor ruled the B-Town with his commendable talent and charming look. He was a prominent face in the film industry during from 50’s to 70’s. He started his acting career in Bollywood with film Jeevan Jyoti in 1953, but the film did not work at the box office.
After struggling for four years, he worked in the film Tumsa Nahin Dekha which turned out to be a game changer for him. Shammi Kapoor became an overnight sensation among people and gained thousands of fans following. However, it was just beginning.
Later, Shammi Kapoor proved that he is here to stay with blockbusters like Dil Deke Dekho, Singapore, Junglee, College Girl, Professor, China Town, Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya.

Having background from influential families and being a brother of Raj Kapoor, Shammi too joined the business of acting and made a place for himself. Shammi Kapoor received the Filmfare Best Actor Award in 1968 for his performance in Brahmachari and Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor for Vidhaata in 1982.
He garnered a lot of eyeballs and the thousands of fans following. He departed from the world at the age of 80 due to renal failure, and today Bollywood fraternity is celebrating his 86th birth Aniversary.
