Bollywood’s Blue-eyed boy Ranveer Singh is in a happy space. Not only are his movie breaking records at the box-office, he is also married to his dream girl Deepika Padukone. After his last blockbuster ‘Simmba’, the actor is all set to recreate the iconic World Cup Win of 83 in his upcoming release 83. The movie directed by Kabir Khan has Ranveer playing the role of iconic Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev.
After undergoing intense training under the hawk eye of legendary cricketers Team 83 is off for their first schedule. Yes, Ranveer Singh, Sahil Khattar, Ammy Virk, Saqib Saleem, and other Team 83 members were snapped at Mumbai airport. They were heading off to England to kickstart the first schedule of the film.
The entire team was suited up in black and was like our cricket team off to play a match overseas. Everyone seemed to be extremely excited. The pictures and videos clicked, gave an idea of how much fun the shooting is going to be.

Ranveer Singh’s film is all set to recreate India’s iconic win at the World Cup Match of 1983 under the leadership of Kapil Dev. The star cast had been preparing and training hard for their respective roles in Dharamshala for a past couple of months to ace their game and body language of the original cricketers. It would be interesting to see how much the film will reflect real life on the big screen.
’83’ is based on India’s spectacular win in 1983 Cricket World Cup which took place in England. It will hit the screens on April 10, 2020.
