Cirkus: Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty unite once again for comedy-drama
Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty will now be working on their third project together, titled, Cirkus.
Actor-director duo, Ranveer Singh and Rohit Shetty are all set to collaborate for their third film, Cirkus, after the 2018 blockbuster Simmba and the upcoming Sooryavanshi. The film will be based on Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors, Angoor that featured Sanjeev Kumar and Deven Verma in the lead roles alongside Moushumi Chatterjee and Deepti Naval.
Reportedly, Rohit Shetty’s Cirkus will also star Jacqueline Fernandez, Pooja Hegde and Varun Sharma among others. Sharing the details, a source told Pinkvilla, “Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde are playing the two female leads in Rohit Shetty’s next. Along with that, Varun Sharma will also be joining the trio. It’s a madcap family entertainer with the trademark Rohit Shetty stamp on it. It’s an out and out comedy. When Rohit approached all the three actors Jacqueline, Pooja, and Varun to star in his film, they immediately came on board. They have all signed on the dotted line.”

Reportedly, for the first time, Ranveer will play a double in the film. The shoot of Cirkus is expected to go on floors next month, with schedules set to be shot in Ooty, Goa, and Mumbai, and is set to hit the theatres in winter 2021. Presented by Bhushan Kumar and Reliance Entertainment.
Meanwhile, Ranveer is gearing up for the release of his two major films, Sooryavanshi and 83, which were delayed due to coronavirus pandemic-induced lockdown.
