Ranveer Singh recently recreated Kapil Dev’s look in Kabir Khan’s upcoming film ’83. The actor essays the role of Kapil Dev in film directed by Kabir Khan. Apparently, the team finally wrapped up the film in the month of October. Also, the first look of the film had showed sneak-peek of Ranveer Singh portraying similar resemblance to the India Cricket Team Captain Kapil Dev.
Meanwhile, Ranveer recreated Kapil Dev’s popular Natraj shot. For the unversed, Kapil Dev as the captain played a significant role in India’s 1983 winning of the World Cup. Interestingly, Ranveer Singh recreated the iconic Natraj shot. As per report by Bollywood Hungama, He recreated the famous shot at Royal Tunbridge Wells, Kent, England where Kapil Dev scored 175 runs in the semi-finals against Zimbabwe.
Reportedly, the actor had also underwent physical transformation at a stretch and also did his training to be like Kapil Dev for the film. Lately, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment’s twitter account wrote, “#RanveerAsKapil & the iconic ‘Natraj Shot’! The moment when the historic 175 runs against Zimbabwe at Tunbridge was made! #ThisIs83.”

The film ’83 displays the iconic win of the Indian cricket team at the 1983 world cup against the West Indies. It was this special moment when they created history and picked up the World Cup for the first time. ’83 is helmed by Kabir Khan and co-produced by Madhu Mantena, Sajid Nadiadwala and Reliance Entertainment. Further more, the film is all set to hit the theaters on 10 April 2020.
