Ranveer Singh is celebrating his birthday today and the actor had a surprising gift for his fans. Yes, on his 34th birthday the Padmaavat star shared his fisr look from upcoming sports drama 83. Ranveer took to his Instagram handle and shared the first look as the Haryana Hurricane aka Kapil Dev. Fans are going gaga over his look and praising the uncanny resemblance.

Ranveer is currently in the UK, shooting for the film with Deepika Padukone. The Piku star will play the role of the legendary cricketer’s wife Romi Bhatia in the film. 83 shows the journey of Kapil Dev, a boy from Haryana, leading his team to victory in the 1983 Cricket World Cup.
Before heading to the UK, Ranveer had stayed with Kapil Dev at his house in New Delhi for 10 days. He learnt about his personal as well as professional life.

’83’, directed by Kabir Khan, revolves around India’s historic victory at 1983 Cricket World Cup, where the team defeated West Indies under the captaincy of Kapil Dev. Former cricketer Balvinder Singh Sandhu trained Ranveer and other team members for the film. The movie also features R Badree, Hardy Sandhu, Chirag Patil, Saqib Saleem, Pankaj Tripathi, Tahir Bhasin, Ammy Virk and Saahil Khattar. The team is currently prepping for ’83 in London.
The film will release on April 10, 2020.
