Kabir Khan’s 83 has been creating buzz since its inception. It has Ranveer Singh who will be playing the character of Kapil Dev, captain of the World Cup-winning Indian cricket team of 1983. The movie went on floors in Glasgow on June 5.
Taking to social media handle, the makers have shared a picture on their official social media handle to announce the news. The tweet read as, “Pehla over, pehla ball. Let’s get rollin’. ? #83OneMoreTime”
The entire team is leaving no stone unturned to make the movie a huge success. The star cast has been practising rigorously and entire squad will begin the shooting at a local cricket club in the Scottish port city for a week, followed by other popular locations like Dulwich college in London, Edinburgh cricket club, Nevill Ground at Royal Tunbridge Wells in Kent and the Oval cricket ground.
Apart from Ranveer Singh, the movie also stars Saqib Saleem, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Sahil Khattar, Jatin Sarna, Jiiva, Ammy Virk, Harrdy Sandhu, Chirag Patil, Dinker Sharma, Adinath Kothare, Dhairya Karwa, Nishant Dahiya, R Badree and Pankaj Tripathi among others.
Presented by Anil Dhirubhai Ambani’s Reliance Entertainment, it is said to be the “biggest sports film” of the country. The movie is slated to hit the screens on April 10, 2020, in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
