Ranji Trophy: Swapnil Gigale smashes ton as Maharashtra dominate against Mumbai
Swapnil Gugale scored a hundred and also stitched a 146-run stand with Chirag Khurana as Maharashtra got off to a flying start against Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy at the MCA Stadium on Thursday.
Maharashtra ended the day at 298/3.
Mumbai, led by Siddhesh Lad chose to field after winning the toss on a batting friendly pitch as the Maharashtra openers giving their team a strong start.
Gugale, 27, struck 15 fours while his opening partner Khurana hit 12 in his knock of 71 runs.
At Valsad, leg-spinner Piyush Chawla scored a hundred to guide Gujarat to 340/8 against Railways.
